Welcome to KERN's translation office in Hamburg!

Hamburg lies in an attractive geographical location, combining the traditional and the modern in a remarkable way. The city is a founding member of the Hanseatic League and has been providing extensive overseas trade since as early as 1241. Since that time, Hamburg has grown to be Germany's second largest city and is famous for having the largest seaport in the country today. The Hanseatic city is an attractive location for commerce and tourism thanks to its port and its position by the Elbe and Alster rivers.

With the introduction of newspapers, publishing companies, TV broadcasters and various agencies, Hamburg has established itself as one of the most important media centers in Germany. With over 60 small and large theaters and more than 60 museums, culture also plays an important role in the Hanseatic city. Hamburg's internationally renowned theaters have made its musical scene the third largest in the world.
