How does the RSI VoiceApp™ work?
The RSI VoiceApp™ is KERN’s Remote Simultaneous Interpreting (RSI) solution, developed specifically for interpreting in audio and video conferences. It therefore offers an ideal solution for multilingual events with professional interpreters located all over the world.
The app can be customized to meet customer needs and event requirements. It provides direct access via an event code and a secure PIN code, which can be personalized as required. Additionally, appropriate customer logos can be integrated for each event and displayed in the app.
Conference or meeting participants only need to download and open the user-friendly RSI VoiceApp™ on their mobile phone or tablet and use it with headphones. Now they can hear everything and participate in the event. A browser-based version of the app with a pop-up window is available free of charge for participants who wish to join the event via computer.
In addition, KERN also offers a live subtitling service that can be integrated into events upon customer request.

The app is aimed at private and business customers who require professional interpreting services or who wish to deploy interpreters flexibly from any location. KERN offers a secure, EU-based video conferencing platform with an integrated Remote Simultaneous Interpreting (RSI) solution for every event, regardless of the number of participants.
Which platforms and events does the RSI VoiceApp™ support?
To ensure smooth use of our app, we offer customized solutions for every type of event:
- Zoom or Webex: Interpretation channels can be used directly via the platform. Our technology enables us to add up to five additional languages to any Zoom conference or webinar, tailored to your requirements. We can thus offer a total of 14 languages for every online event.
- MS Teams, GoTo: Other meeting or conference platforms can also be used. For interpreting, our RSI VoiceApp™, our web app, and/or our pop-up window are used via computer.
- Hybrid events: Our services can be adapted to the different possibilities depending on which platform is used. Interpreting is then provided via the RSI VoiceApp™, our web app, our computer pop-up window, an audio link, and/or the platform.
All events are supported by at least one specialist to ensure that everything runs smoothly for customers, participants, and interpreters during their assignment.
