When one thinks of Frankfurt, certain things always to mind: the airport, St. Paul's Church, Goethe, the Frankfurter sausage, the German Stock Exchange, the Frankfurt Book Fair, and the city skyline – not to mention the numerous banks and thriving business sector. As one of the largest metropolitan cities in Europe, Frankfurt's undeniable appeal lies in its ability to combine the bright lights of a global city with a genuinely relaxed atmosphere. With around 660,000 citizens, the city is relatively modest in size by metropolitan standards – yet in diversity it excels, with the population including over 180 different nationalities.
