On October 19, 2024, KERN Global Language Services invited guests to the Rothenbach Hall in Kassel for a special event under the motto “Content Creation, Editing, Translation, and Processes in the Age of AI.” The afternoon offered the approximately 50 participants exciting insights into the latest developments in artificial intelligence and its practical applications in the field of multilingual content creation and translation.

Forward-looking presentation and interactive discussion

The keynote presentation by Mr. David Benotmane on the topic “AI in Translation Processes and Content Creation” impressively demonstrated how companies can leverage the potential of AI technology to achieve efficiency gains while simultaneously ensuring the quality of their content at the highest level.

Particular attention was paid to innovative solutions such as the multilingual chatbot from KERN, which supports companies with customized, multilingual customer and employee services. Depending on the use case, the chatbot offers access to relevant information in up to 50 languages and can be flexibly adapted to specific business requirements. Likewise, tools for automated terminology extraction were introduced, ensuring the consistent and precise use of technical terms.

Another highlight was the presentation of PDM4Client™, a powerful software for efficient product data management. PDM4Client significantly simplifies technical documentation by serving as a central platform for managing product-relevant data. The software integrates seamlessly into existing ERP, PIM, or PDM systems and automates the entire documentation process – from data transfer to translation and regular updating in multiple languages.

The lively Q&A session that followed demonstrated the strong interest of the participants and created space for a valuable exchange regarding specific challenges and use cases in their respective industries.

Networking and targeted consultation

The subsequent networking dinner offered the opportunity for in-depth conversations and building new contacts. Professionals from various industries took the opportunity to discuss individual questions with the experts from KERN and gain valuable insights. The focus was on the practical solutions that KERN offers for simplifying and optimizing translation and editing processes – supported by AI-backed technologies that increase efficiency and flexibility in everyday work.
