On 19 October 2024, KERN Global Language Services invited guests to the Rothenbach Hall in Kassel/Germany for a special event entitled "Content Creation, Editing, Translation and Processes in the Age of AI". That afternoon the approximately 50 participants were given exciting insights into the latest developments surrounding artificial intelligence and its practical applications in the field of multilingual content creation and translation.

Future-oriented lecture and interactive discussion

Mr David Betnomane's keynote speech on "AI in Translation Processes and Content Creation" impressively illustrated how companies can leverage the potential of AI technology so as to achieve efficiency gains while at the same time ensuring the highest quality of their content.

Innovative solutions such as KERN's multilingual chatbot, which supports companies with tailor-made, multilingual customer and employee services, attracted particular attention. Depending on the application, the chatbot provides access to relevant information in up to 50 languages and can be flexibly adapted to specific corporate requirements. Tools for automated terminology extraction were also presented, instruments which ensure consistent and precise use of technical and specialist terms.

Another highlight was the presentation of PDM4Client™, a powerful software for efficient product data management. PDM4Client significantly simplifies technical documentation by serving as a central platform for managing product-related data. The software integrates seamlessly into existing ERP, PIM or PDM systems and automates the entire documentation process – from data transfer to translation and regular updates in multiple languages.

The lively question and answer session that followed demonstrated the participants' keen interest and created space for valuable exchanges on specific challenges and application examples in their respective industries.

Networking and targeted advice

The subsequent networking dinner provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions and the forging of new contacts. Specialists from various industries took advantage of the opportunity to discuss individual questions with the experts from KERN and consequently gain valuable insights. The focus was on the practical solutions offered by KERN to simplify and optimise translation and editing processes – supported by AI-based technologies that ramp up efficiency and flexibility in the daily work routine.

AI solutions for use in practice: collaboration and training

KERN keeps its finger on the pulse of technological developments and offers companies comprehensive training courses and consulting services specifically geared towards the integration of AI-supported tools and processes. These tailor-made workshops enable companies to efficiently familiarise themselves with and then apply the new technologies.

And a really successful conclusion

At the end of the event, participants had the exclusive opportunity of watching the exciting top match of Bundesliga handball teams between MT Melsungen and the Füchse Berlin live – a real top match in which the first-placed team competed against the second-placed one. An entertaining highlight that rounded off an inspiring evening perfectly.
