Alongside the more familiar services – such as translation and interpreting in all languages, terminology and translation memory management, the online terminology portal term4client™ and language training for professionals and executives – the central focus this year was on customized portal solutions such as clicktranslate™. This solution allows the integration of translation memory systems and terminology databases and provides an interface to the client’s internal order processes. It demonstrates KERN Global Language Services’ ability to implement complex translation management processes and to adapt these to the client’s internal procedures. Translation projects have long since ceased to be seen as the isolated tasks of individuals, and are now regarded as processes that form part of an integrated whole comprising upstream and downstream business processes.
In connection with the presentation of our services and solutions, personal meetings with existing clients and other interested parties were our primary focus this year. Partnerships with companies from industry and service providers were developed further, and new client relationships were initiated. The next tekom Annual Conference takes place from 3rd to 5th November 2010. KERN Global Language Services is looking forward to seeing you there next year!
