As a result of increasing digitalization of work processes, more and more industries demand certifications confirming a company’s compliance with defined information security standards. Therefore, companies and business partners alike are required to process sensitive information and data in accordance with strict security criteria.
KERN Global Language Services has recently received the TISAX label. TISAX is short for “Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange” (a registered trademark governed by the ENX Association) and is a specifically defined standard of the automotive industry relating to information security. Consequently, for many carmakers and suppliers, compliance in that regard is a prerequisite. The assessment is based on a catalog of requirements defined by the German Association of the Automotive Industry, the so-called “VDA Information Security Assessment” (VDA ISA). The VDA ISA in turn is based on essential aspects of the international norm ISO/IEC 27001. The aim is to establish a uniform level of information security across the industry.
