Frankfurt am Main/Nuremberg. KERN Global Language Services employees were intensively trained in the topic of translation management at the beginning of December. The main focus of the training session was the use of the ST4 interface to export translation documents from the SCHEMA ST4 content management system.
For many years now KERN Global Language Services has been supporting its clients in the implementation and optimisation of translation processes with integrated content management and editorial systems. We advise on these individually in the case of interface topics and create customer-specific translation processes including multilingual quality management. In the course of the training session, employees were able to expand their knowledge of the interface between the editorial system SCHEMA ST4 and translation memory systems in portal4client Advanced, Trados Studio and Across even more. The Frankfurt-based language service provider was able to successfully complete the training and accordingly received the certificate “ST4 certified translation service provider.”

- Creating callout graphics
- Language.xml content and its translation
- Evaluating translation reports
- Connecting to translation memory systems via COTI I-III

- Author support
- Exporting and importing terminology and translation memory data in SCHEMA ST4
- Possible error sources and troubleshooting
