When working with our customers, we develop databases, glossaries, equivalence tables and terminology lists which help us to put a company’s know-how to good use.
A company-specific dictionary or glossary is an essential and versatile resource which:
- standardises a company’s use of language, in areas ranging from research to marketing
- increases the consistency of documents and translations
- gives external translators valuable support
- helps new employees settle in quickly
Using software tools, we analyse existing customer documentation, extract the technical terms and develop equivalence tables.
By doing this we are able to create a company-specific dictionary, which meets the requiremements of individual users and departments as well as a company’s own software.
These tables are subsequently supplemented and updated as more translations are carried out. With the aid of data processing programmes, the tables are arranged in several languages and agreed upon with the customer.
